My 7 Known Ways To Bring Myself To Orgasm (as a Vulva-owner)

Updated: Mar 22

The beautiful thing about orgasms is that there are no rules. There isn't one right way to orgasm. Anything and anyone can orgasm in anyway. Our bodies are pleasure hubs. I quickly realized this as, when I started intentionally exploring my body for the sole purpose of discovering unknown pleasure sources, I found a sh*t ton of ways to climax. I actually had to rigorously study female anatomy to understand where all of this pleasure was coming from.

Understanding this article requires a basic knowledge of female anatomy. Just because one is stimulating the vulva, doesn’t mean they are just stimulating the vagina or the clitoris. There are sooo many other points of pleasure on the female body. I absolutely love exploring all of my own pleasure points. Here, you will find the 7 known ways in which I’m able to bring my body to orgasm (with 1 honorable mention):

-----

1. MIND

Why not start with the most mind-blowing of them all: the mind orgasm itself! (aka thinking off)

When I first discovered I could orgasm with my mind, I was shook. Not only was I shook physically, but emotionally. This discovery completely shattered every idea I’d ever been taught about how “masturbation is wrong”, “sex is bad”, “pleasure should be reserved for marriage”, blah, blah, blah. My ability to climax without touching myself at all was groundbreaking and changed me forever. I now understand that touching ourselves and others is just a shortcut and the real sensations start and end with the mind.

2. VAGINAL (or G-spot)

Any type of orgasm derived from stimulation of the inside of the vaginal walls is what I would call a vaginal orgasm. To me, this doesn’t necessarily involve the g-spot. I haven’t quite mastered the g-spot orgasm; it has only happened to me a few times. But I hear that, when mastered, it is the orgasm of all orgasms. I have so much more exploring to do!!

3. VAGINAL OPENING

Not to be confused with the vaginal orgasm, this type of orgasm is only achieved through stimulation of the vaginal opening. Ways I have experienced this orgasm include rubbing my own vaginal opening, having a partner rub their penis on my vaginal opening, and holding a vibrator in place on my vaginal opening. None of these experiences included insertion or penetration. Exciting, huh?

4. CLITORAL

Studies show that virtually all female orgasms are clitoral orgasms. All arousal in the female body points back to the clitoris. But what I call a clitoral orgasm is simply an orgasm derived from sole focus on the visible part of the clitoris (for example oral sex on the clitoris, use of the Satisfyer toy , etc.)

With over 8000 nerve endings, it’s no wonder that two-thirds of women require clitoral stimulation in order to get off. Clitoral orgasms are my personal favorite.

The clitoral orgasm is ole faithful.

The orgasm I fall back on.

The orgasm that started it all.

5. ANAL

Ya girl loves a good rim job ;) To me, what’s special about the anal orgasm is that I didn’t discover this orgasm; this orgasm discovered me. I stumbled across this orgasm in my early years of dating when I had partners who would beg to eat my ass (and of course I wasn’t going to say no). To my surprise, ass-eating became my jam and I will forever be sold on the pleasures of anal nerve endings.

If you’ve never explored this area of your body, it could be nerve-racking at first but trust me, you won’t regret it.

6. PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES

Similar to a mind orgasm, one can climax without any touch but just the use of pelvic floor muscles or hip muscles. By remaining focused on my orgasm (aka visualization) and keeping a steady repetition of tightening and releasing my pelvic floor muscles (aka kegels), I’m able to feel an immense amount of pleasure and eventually peak with no extra help from hands or toys. Also, by slowing rocking my hips and adding pressure to my clitoris, I can achieve the same type of sensation.

7. URETHRAL (aka Urinary, or U-spot)

And last but not least (well, kinda least) is the urethral orgasm. Don’t get me wrong, this orgasm is great! But I believe it’s the hardest to pinpoint. The urethra is small, but you’ll know when you have an orgasm involving the urethra because it just feels different from the other orgasms. This orgasm can also be frustrating because this area on the vulva doesn’t get much attention, besides when we pee. Therefore, strengthening neural pathways to the brain for pleasure on this part of the body can be difficult, but it’s so, so worth it.

Honorable mention:

NIPPLEGASM

I have small breasts that aren’t very sensitive at all but, when stimulated in the right way, can bring me loads of pleasure. I haven’t been fortunate enough to orgasm from nipple play, but it’s a goal of mine! Honestly, I think my next purchase will be some nipple suckers.
